Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a convenient location near restaurants and pubs with pleasant and helpful service, but the rooms could use a refresh and are on the smaller side.
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, the location was fantastic, overlooking the Grand Harbour with an excellent balcony Wi-Fi area. However, the rooms on the 6th floor with no lift were quite expensive for what was offered, and I suffered from loads of noise from the restaurant, especially during the early hours when staff were cleaning up.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were spotless but in need of some renovation, and unfortunately, mine was next to the restaurant toilet and above the kitchen, making it quite noisy with smoke drifting in at times. There were some outdated amenities like the phone and air conditioning, no heating in the bathroom, and lacking a kettle with tea/coffee in the room. However, the staff was super nice and did their best to accommodate us. The location had its charms with lovely views of the Grand Harbour, despite being above an office and down a steep hill. In terms of dining, the breakfast spread was generous but could get repetitive for a longer stay. The facilities were adequate but could use some updates.
I was impressed by the perfect terrace with a view, but accessibility to the rooms was a letdown due to sharing a balcony with the hall passage.
My stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms, despite offering fantastic views of the harbor, were a bit shabby and uncomfortable, with mosquitoes buzzing around. On the bright side, they did have everything I needed for a restful retreat from the heat, including excellent AC, a fridge, a decent bed, and a TV with some English channels. The location was a definite highlight, being near the center with great views of the Grand Harbour. However, the noise from the restaurant toilet and kitchen, along with smoke drifting in, was quite bothersome. The service, while mostly super-helpful and reflecting the friendly nature of the Maltese, could have improved by emptying the trash daily. The dining experience, with delicious food, came with a wonderful view, although some found it a bit pricey for what was offered. The facilities were generally good, with access to an excellent restaurant and wine bar with views over the Grand Harbour providing a luxurious touch.
I was on the 6th floor with no lift, but the room itself was modern, spacious, and had comfortable beds for our 2-night stay. The hotel's distance from reception necessitated a lift for two floors, then a walk along a corridor, and up three flights, which was a downside.
The hotel offers a marvelous view of the three cities and Valetta harbour but has dated, scruffy rooms in need of renovation. The location is convenient for exploring Valletta but involves navigating many steps. The staff is friendly and helpful, though the rooms show signs of decay.
I had a wonderful 2-night stay at this hotel. The rooms on the top floor were modern, spacious, and had comfortable beds; however, the bathroom area was a bit dated. The location was incredible, with great views from the sea-facing room. The service was exceptional, especially with the staff being helpful and flexible. The dining experience was decent, offering a wide variety of choices and a pleasant ambiance. Overall, a great value for money option in a cultural goldmine.
The hotel room was a bit dated and scruffy, with old broken floor tiles and a bashed-in bathroom door. It was located quite far from reception, requiring a lift for two floors followed by a walk along a corridor and up three flights of stairs. Despite being small and old, the room was clean. However, it was not accessible with a lifter and was affected by scaffolding.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were decent but needed some updating, and the city-facing room with the Malta traditional balcony was a nice touch. The service was friendly and helpful, although there were some minor issues with trash emptying. The location was excellent for exploring Valletta, close to everything you need and with stunning views. The dining could use improvements, especially in terms of renovation and breakfast options.
My stay at the hotel had its positives and negatives. The location was fantastic with stunning views and easy access to the city sites and bus station. The service provided by the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. However, the room was disappointing with old, scruffy decor and noise from the nearby restaurant and kitchen. The dining experience had a good selection, but value for money was lacking.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The room was overlooking the street but they sorted the extra heater straight away. It had everything I needed for a restful retreat from the heat: excellent AC, a fridge, a pretty comfortable bed, and a TV with a few English channels, all in a great location. The room was very spacious, very clean, and comfortable. However, the noise, construction work, and lack of restaurant and bar due to refurbishment were a downside.
My stay at the hotel had its highs and lows. The rooms were a bit outdated and required some maintenance, which was inconvenient due to the long distance from reception. However, the service was top-notch, with extremely helpful and friendly staff. The location offered stunning views of Grand Harbour, although the noise from the restaurant could be bothersome at times. The dining experience was pleasant, especially on the balcony, but some options were unavailable. Overall, a mixed experience with room for improvement.
My room was clean and cozy, but it could use a bit of a refresh. The service was friendly and helpful, although a doctor was on call during my stay. The location was perfect for exploring Valletta without needing transportation, but the bathroom area looked a bit dated. The dining experience offered a variety of breakfast options to kickstart my day of exploring Vallletta, though the coffee was instant. The facilities were well-maintained, and the staff seemed unconcerned about my needs.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room was spacious with a marvelous view, but marred by an unwelcome visitor. The service was helpful and friendly. The location was convenient for exploring, but with some challenging steps. The dining options were a hit-and-miss experience.
